Akretiv advances selected animal health programs through dedicated, program-specific special purpose vehicles (SPVs). Each opportunity is evaluated independently. Akretiv defines the animal health opportunity, secures an option or other appropriate rights, establishes the target product profile, identifies the studies required to reach the next value inflection point, and prepares a program-specific development budget.

When funding is required, capital is raised separately for the individual SPV. This allows investors to select and fund specific programs based on their interests and investment criteria, with each program’s resources and development activities managed independently.

Akretiv then coordinates the animal-health-specific work needed to reduce development uncertainty and increase the program’s strategic value. Depending on market interest and program progress, an exit may occur relatively early or later in development, including near or after regulatory approval. Potential transactions may include a sale, license, co-development agreement or other strategic partnership. The timing, structure and financial outcome of any transaction cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
