Based on our own experience, we believe promising animal-health companies frequently approach the same relatively small circle of specialist investors and strategic partners before their programs are sufficiently advanced. They are also often not fully prepared to address the critical questions around risk mitigation, capital needs and the next meaningful value-inflection point.

At the same time, we saw genuine interest in animal health from family offices and other investors outside this traditional circle. Too often, that interest did not translate into investment because investors needed deeper sector knowledge, stronger diligence support and a clearer path to participation.

Our public-benefit orientation connects three objectives:

• Support animal-health innovation. Strengthen promising companies through coordinated expertise, risk mitigation and better preparation, while selectively advancing programs through our own SPV pipeline.
  
  
• Expand informed capital. Educate and engage family offices, angels and other investors alongside established animal-health specialists, building a broader base of knowledgeable investors who can become repeat participants in the sector.
  
  
• Pursue reasonable risk-adjusted returns. Apply disciplined development, diligence and capital allocation to support thoughtful investment decisions for Akretiv shareholders and investors participating in AHVC Syndicate, company and SPV opportunities.
